Cambrian Explosion - Did bioturbation support the origin of species

The Cambrian Explosion is by some referred to as the big bang of biology. During this periode worms digging around on the sea floor changed the water chemistry completely which fuelled this explosion of life. The tiny activity of bioturbation pushed life from two dimensions to three dimensions and introduced a multitude of life we still see the ancestors of today.
